Population of AO codes in refunds and deletion of duplicate refund-regarding

Oltas Instruction No. 24,

It has been observed that due to some reasons, the  internal scheduler of refunds does not populate the AO codes in the ts_clean_challan table, due to which all refunds appears under suspense in TAS reports. 

 

2. It has been also observed that some centres have done the entry of refunds even after the 01.01.06 though  it was informed that refund will be posted to RCCs  from NCC after 01.01.06 in respect of refund cheques which have been drawn on SBI  branches dated 01.01.2006 onwards. As a result of this,  duplicate refund data has been posted in ts_clean_challan table. 

 

3. All the problems have been analysed and a patch is prepared which has the  functionality of  (i)         Deletion of duplicate challan/refund, if any and (ii) population of AO code on refund data. It is requested that suitable instruction may be issued to the concerned officials to carry out the following steps :

 

(i) Take two sets of full backup. Make sure that no user is working at the time of execution of the instruction.

(ii) Download and execute the patch from 128.91.16.155 m/c (directory /home/oth/exe/oltas_inst_24, user/password : oth/tin#oth). The patch OLTS1R26.fmx is for

(iii) Copy the other executables in the file server where other executables have been stored. Files with same name should be renamed/backed up.

 

4. Feedback may please be given latest by 09.06.06,  whether the OLTAS Instruction No. 24 has been implemented or not. This Instruction has to be implemented by all computer centres. It may  please be ensured that all the OLTAS Instructions issued before i.e. from OLTAS Instructions No. 23 has been implemented before this Instruction is implemented.

 

5. It is also requested to give suitable instructions to the concerned officer of the Computer Centre to execute the  'Correction due to wrong BSR' regularly. This menu item  is available under the 'Processing ' menu of TAS Supervisor.
